Developing accessible trends
As a footwear color designer at Nike for kids + men's footwear I develop narratives and print designs around seasonal color direction. Final color and graphics application are informed through market research, comprehensive consumer analysis, and image-intensive research processes to craft innovative sports and lifestyle stories. The research process through multiple design iterations to final product development created informed storytelling methods that strengthen brand identity and consumer engagement.
Process
Our color team is responsible for identifying valuable trends for upcoming seasons and translating these trends into price point specific model executions. Throughout the process we collaborate with multiple categories to ensure brand consistency, footwear designers to connect new product with our consumer base, our development team to create cost-effective color and material executions, and project manager leads for consumer profiles and emerging trend research.
